The Greenville Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Thursday at Max Mart South Discount Grocery on South Conecuh Street.

According to Lt. Justin Lovvorn of the Greenville Police Department, a man entered the store between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. with a handgun and stole a small amount money.

“His face was partially covered, and he got a small amount of money from the store and fled on foot,” Lovvorn said. “We got some evidence at the store and scanned the area to get more information.”

The GPD is working to establish a suspect at this time.
