Lori Brown has announced her intent to seek election for the McKenzie Town Council.

Brown is seeking the District 2 seat.

“McKenzie is home,” Brown said. “My husband is the head coach there at McKenzie, and we’re going to be there. I just really felt in my heart that it is something that I needed to do, because I want McKenzie to grow and I want good things to happen.

Brown said if elected she would work on a town beautification project to help attract potential businesses.

The election is Aug. 28.
