Bryan graduates from nursing school

Lauren Jill Bryan graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Auburn University on Aug. 4.
During her four years at Auburn University, Bryan participated in numerous academic and extracurricular activities including memberships in the National Student Nurses Association and Pet Assisted Therapy. She was a student representative on the School of Nursing Faculty Committee, and a nursing volunteer at numerous collegiate and community events. She received multiple Auburn University scholarships and the local W.O. Parmer Scholarship.
Bryan was honored at the Auburn University School of Nursing pinning ceremony on August 3 with the Robert and Marjorie Goodson “Nurse of Nurses” Award. This award was voted on by her peers based on nursing skills, confidence and leadership.
In September, Bryan will begin her career at East Alabama Medical Center in the medical surgery unit. She will also continue her education at Auburn University in pursuit of a graduate degree. Bryan is a 2008 graduate of Greenville High School. She is the daughter of Darren and Amy Bryan of Greenville and is engaged to be married in October to Zac Smith, also of Greenville.
