Bryan Reynolds has announced his intent to seek election to the Greenville City Council.
Reynolds, the director of golf and general manager of Cambrian Ridge, is seeking the District 1 seat. Incumbent Dr. Jean Thompson is not seeking re-election.
He will face Keith Gibson and Jerry Meyers in the Aug, 28 election.
“I love and care about the district, and I want the best for the people who live in District 1, and the other districts as well,” Reynolds said. “I want to see Greenville continue to grow and help make it a better place to live for everyone in the city. I have 2-year-old and a 2-month-old, and I want them to have a great town to grow up in.”
Reynolds, who has been a resident of Greenville for 15 years, has served as president of the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Greenville Jaycees. He has also served on the Achiever Award Committee and the LBW Advisory Committee for the school’s culinary program.
He is a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
Reynolds is married to Rebecca Cureton Reynolds. The couple has two children.
