Joe Horne McGough

Mr. Joe Horne McGough, 64, a resident of Honoraville, AL, died Friday, June 29, 2012.  A graveside services were  held Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 4 PM in Spring Creek Cemetery, Honoraville, AL with Rev. Danny Dean officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.  Joe was employed with the Alabama Dept. of Industrial Relations for 30 years before retiring in 1998.  He then started a poultry farm where he has been a grower for Koch Foods for 12 years.  Joe was preceded in death by his father, W.J. McGough.  He is survived by his mother, Sarah Horne McGough; two aunts Tommie Cook and Pauline Heartsill; his cousins, Debbie (Kenneth) McGough, Brenda Bryan, Rick (Kelly) Heartsill, Darren (Amy) Bryan and children, Lauren & Logan, Tami (Mike) Revette and child, Shaye, Kim (Hoss) Kaveroonian, Meredith Welch, and Thomas (Rebecca) McGough and son, Weston; and two special friends, Faye Foster Stokes and Juanita Simmons.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Alexander, Jim Fussell, Don Miller, Gary Owens, Larry Hartin, Eddie Moseley, Johnny Frazier, Donny Spann, Billy Brock, Albert Thompson, Larry Petty, Bob Dixon, and Harvey Sexton.  Active pallbearers include Darren Bryan, Thomas McGough, Kenneth McGough, Leo Stringer, Stan Bowen, Myles Horne, and Logan Bryan.  Joe would like to thank Southeast Hospice and employees of the Montgomery Cancer Center.  In lieu of flowers, he has requested donations be made to Panola Cemetery (2237 Cook Rd., Honoraville, AL 36042) or to Spring Creek Cemetery (Ashmore Rd., Honoraville, AL).
