City recognizes Elder Abuse Awareness Day

Greenville Mayor Dexter McLendon signed a proclamation Thursday proclaiming June 15 as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. During the 2011 Fiscal Year, the Alabama Department of Human Resources investigated approximately 5,800 cases of suspected elder abuse.
