Melvin D. Saucer, 77, a resident of Grand Bay, Ala., and a former resident of Greenville, Ala., died Monday, May 21, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 25, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Harrison Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Park with Harrison Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include: His wife of 56 years, Doris Giddens Saucer, Grand Bay, Ala.; Daughters: Lisa (Jack) Thomas, Mobile, Ala., and Liz Murphy, Tampa, Fla.; Grandchildren: Denise (Daniel) Garvin, Brianne (Julius) Harbison, Crystal Murphy, Cathy Rillo and Laura O`Neal; Great-grandchildren: Madelyn Harbison, Nicholas Gravin, Bethany Garvin, Mason Rillo and Lily O`Neal, And one soon to be born, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
