Residents in nursing homes across the country are smiling a little wider and laughing a little harder as they take part in the National Nursing Home Week.
Crowne Health Care Activity Director and Volunteer Coordinator Mary Philen has filled the week with a variety of activities for residents and community members.
“We’ve got a lot of games planned, and it’s just highlighting nursing homes and what we do,” she said.
On Monday, the group participated in an ice cream party as well as various games. On Tuesday, in conjunction with L.V. Stabler Memorial Home Health Agency, the group played Bingo Bananza. Activities with Woodland Heights Methodist Church and Alacare Home Health and Hospice are also planned for the week.
