A wide variety of talent will be on display at Greenville High School thanks to the Old Gym Players.
Saturday the Greenville High School Old Gym Players, a student theater group, will introduce the “Talent Extravaganza” to the stage not only for students at Greenville High School but also the public.
“The ‘Talent Extravaganza’ is an opportunity for citizens of Greenville to see how talented the students of GHS are,” said Naomi Pryor, GHS teacher. “We thought this would be a fun way to get the community involved in supporting the arts at GHS.”
All GHS students were invited to participate in the show and put his or her talent on display.
There will be a school talent show during the day for just GHS students, but the doors will open to the community and any other students in Butler County in the evening.
Pryor said what makes this event so unique is that no winner will be selected.
“This is like a variety show intended to show off the talented students at our school,” Pryor said.
The show for the public will be at 6 p.m. at the Greenville High School Auditorium. Tickets are $5 and all proceeds will go to the GHS Old Gym Players.
“People should attend because it is a unique opportunity to share in the pride GHS has for its students,” Pryor said.
