Second Chance Rescue is the name and $1 raffle tickets is the game.
The Butler County Humane Society is selling $1 raffle tickets for its No Kill Second Chance Rescue.
The $1 tickets will go toward the Rescue and those entering will have a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Walmart.
“The raffle ticket started when I decided to donate a gift card I received for my birthday for $25 to Walmart,” Kim Kent, a volunteer with the Humane Society said. “We started selling the $1 (tickets) at Calico Fort.”
Kimberly Matthews, also a volunteer with the Humane Society, said that the community could purchase the raffle tickets at the Shell Depot, The Smokehouse and Pet Laundry. Anyone can come and sign.
According to Matthews, the goal is to reach $500 for the Second Chance Rescue. The raffle drawing will be on July 3.
“(The raffle is) for the No Kill Second Chance Shelter,” Matthews said. “It allows us to rescue animals form the Greenville Shelter and find homes for them.”
