Phillips, Beasley will wed June 9

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lee Phillips of Thomasville, Ala., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Karla Darlene Phillips, to Kevin Dwayne Beasley, son of Ms. Wanda R. Beasley of Montgomery, Ala., and Mr. Joe Beasley of Highland Home, Ala.
Miss Phillips is the granddaughter of the late Mr. J. B. Joiner, and Mrs. Lewis McGee of Camden, Ala., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Horrie Gray Phillips of Tallahatta Springs, Ala. She graduated from Thomasville High School in 2002 and received a Master’s of Exercise Science from the University of South Alabama in 2011, where she is employed as an athletic trainer.
Mr. Beasley is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Ray Rogers of Honoraville, Ala., and the late Mr. Magnus Ford Beasley and Mrs. Ford Beasley of Highland Home, Ala. He graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 1995 and received a B.A. in Psychology from Auburn University in 1999 where he was a member of the Auburn Marching Band. Mr. Beasley received a Master’s of Communications from the University of South Alabama in 2003, where he is employed as an assistant director in the Athletic Media Relations office.
The wedding is planned for June 9, 2012, at the Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in Thomasville, Ala.
