“We have three 2003 school buses that we need to go ahead and bid for,” Allin Whittle, assistant superintendent of operations, said. “We need to have them built and purchased before October 1.”

Along with the bid for a 72-passenger bus, the board will also need to purchase a new special needs bus.

Whittle said the 72-passenger bus costs between $80-$84,000 while the special needs bus costs between $100-$102,000.
