PETTY, Mrs. Macie Madolyn Pruitt, 79, a resident of Lapine died Saturday March 3, 2012.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm Monday March 5, 2012 at Magnolia Baptist Church with Rev. William Leverette and Rev. Clay Crum officiating. Interment followed in Berea Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Petty was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Petty; infant daughter, Macie Jean Petty; and infant son, Tommie Harold Petty.

Survivors include five children, Verline (Lonnie) Chesser, Mila (Melvin) Flowers, Cecil Petty and Lamar (Tammy) Petty, all of Lapine, and William Petty of Prattville; eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and a special friend, Charles Lovett.

Active pallbearers were Tim Kelley, Glenn Flowers, Keith Furr, Stanley Boyd, Donnie McGough and Gary Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Frankie Tompkins, Bill Brown, Austin Wilson, William Powell and Jeffery Sexton.
