Linda Branch Brown, 68, of Fort Smith, Ark., died February 25, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark.  Mrs. Brown was a native of Greenville, Ala . She was born August 31, 1943 in Greenville, Alabama to Hillary Guy and Callie Elizabeth Austin Branch.  She was a retired paraprofessional for the Fort Smith Public School System, a member of the Goddard United Methodist Church where she was active in the Adventurers Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women’s Circle #3.  She was also a member of the River Valley Model “A” Club.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Lane Brown of Fort Smith; two sons, Terry Brown (Kathryn) of Wilson, N.C. and Marc Brown (Robin) of Kennesaw, Ga., and five grandchildren, Caitlin Noel, Ashton McLane, Caleb Austin, Shelby Grace, and Perrin Elizabeth Brown.

The family will receive friends at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home on Thursday evening, March 1, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 2, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Liberty United Methodist Church, Greenville, Ala., with Bro. Dan Rhodes officiating.  Mrs. Brown will lie in state at the church from 9:30 a.m. until funeral service time. Burial will be in Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery, Greenville, Ala., with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
