Mr. Earnest Peterson funeral services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from Greenwood COGIC. Elder LoEarl Flowers, officiating minister. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services, Greenville, Alabama directing. Mr. Earnest Peterson (54) was born August 3, 1957 to the late Carrie N. Peterson and Renford George of Greenville, Alabama. He departed this life January 30, 2012. He was a resident of Dayton, OH for many years prior to returning home to Greenville in 2009. Earnest was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in his early years and later joined Greenwood Church of God in Christ. He had a very strong spiritual foundation. He loved quality time with family, golfing and fishing. He could best be described as a devoted father, strong, determined, courageous, and very hard working.Earnest has two children; Earnest Johnson (Ohio), Leanna Peterson (Ohio). He has 13 siblings; Mary Land (Ohio), Dorothy Berry, and Annie Bailey both of Alabama, Stella Peterson of (Georgia), and the late Catherine Hardy of Alabama, Renford George Jr (Ohio), Linda George (Alabama), Neil George (California), Stephen George (California), Janice George (California), Patricia Allen (Alabama), the late Sterling George and Helen George (Ohio). He has (1) aunt; Bernice Peterson (Ohio); (11) nieces and nephews; Diana Caldwell (Alabama), Cynthia McKenzie, Angela McKenzie and Dawn Land all of Ohio, Judy Hall, Marcy Berry, Catherine Willis, Rosaline Berry, all of Georgia; Robert Berry, Rachelle Crittenden, the late Ronald Bailey all of Alabama; (12) great nieces and nephews; devoted friend Debbie Campbell and a host of other relatives and friends.
