The Butler County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two individuals after a home invasion Friday night.

Marquise Lymon, 19, was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with burglary, first degree, and assault, third degree. The second individual is a juvenile and was arrested Monday and charged with burglary, first degree, and assault. That individual will be charged as an adult.

“We received a call Friday night in reference to a home invasion and the victim had been beaten up,” Sheriff Kenny Harden said. “We got there, and they told us what happened. We contacted the Atmore K-9 Unit. We brought dogs in and we tracked them approximately a mile east on Highway 10. We lost them there at a trailer.”

After losing the trail, officers conducted an investigation and discovered Lymon had been dropped off earlier at a mobile home in the area.

“We went to that trailer and found him in the house,” Harden said. “He was arrested on Saturday morning.”

The victims were treated by the paramedics and were not taken to the hospital. The items that were stolen were recovered, but are currently being held as evidence.
