Paul Raymond Hutchens, Jr., age 48, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012. He was residing in Greenville, Ala., but was born and raised in Montgomery, Ala. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Harrison Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Brady officiating. Burial will follow in Alabama National Cemetery in Montavello, Ala.

Survivors include his mother, Delores East; children, Paul Justin Hutchens and Caitlin Brook Hutchens; brother David Hutchens and two sisters Debbie Martin and Ann Feth; his fiancée Alice Lancaster and her children Amanda Lancaster, William H. Lancaster, Jr. and Hunter Lancaster; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Hutchens was preceded in death by his father Paul Raymond Hutchens, Sr. Mr. Hutchens retired from the Army National Guard 1206th out of Wetumpka, Ala. He showed continuous dedication and loyalty to the Army National Guard and his country for more than 25 years. He was awarded the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal/ Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal / Army Achievement Medal (4th Award) Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (3rd Award)/ National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award) / Army Lapel Button / Southeast Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Star (Bss) / Humanitarian Service Medal / Armed Forces Reserve Medal / Armed Forces Reserve Medal With ” M ” Device (2nd Award) / Army Service Ribbon / Army Reserve Componets Overseas Training Ribbon / Kuwait Liberation Medal (K) / Kuwait Liberation Medal (SA) / Marksman Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar.

He was a loving father, brother, son and friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew him. In leiu of Flowers donations may be made to The Disabled American Veterans Association.
