Melba Ruth Gafford, age 82, a resident of Greenville, Ala., died Tuesday January 3, 2012. Funeral services were held Thursday Jan. 5, 2012, in the Chapel of Harrison Funeral Home with Elder Scott Sexton and Elder Allen Bailey officiating. Interment followed in Black Rock Cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home directing. Survivors include: Four children: Patricia Elrod, Greenville, Ala.; Jerry Gafford, Honoravile, Ala.; Guy E. Gafford, Honoraville, AL. and Melissa G. Rowell, Greenville, Ala.; One sister: Hazel Huggins, Montgomery, Ala.; Half-brothers: Jimmy Russell, Greenville, Ala.; Sammy Russell, Lowndesboro, Ala.; Jerry Russell, Hayden, Ala.; Half-sister: Lelia Faye Ososinak, Hanceville, Ala.; Three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
