Funeral Services for Richard Allen Miller, age 32 of Carriere, MS who passed away Wednesday,  December 28, 2011 as a result of a motor vehicle accident, will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 11:00am at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant Road, Bogalusa, LA.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 3, 2011 from 6:00pm until 9:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home, Picayune, MS.

Burial will be in Lee’s Chapel #1 Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Rev. Josh Smith will officiate at the service, assisted by Rev. Ed Jenkins.

A native of Greenville, AL, he was a directional driller for Schlumberger and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Bogalusa, LA. Richard was an avid coon hunter who loved his dogs, Joe and Dixie. He was a loving son, husband, father, and brother who will be truly missed. He never met a stranger and was kind to everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Aubrey and Edna Miller.

Survivors include his wife and daughter, Brenna Ash Miller and Skyler Ann Miller, his parents, Richard Allen “Ricky” Miller Sr, and Linda Miller Stewart and husband Charlie, his sisters and brother, Jana McGinty and husband Joe, Jennifer Bowen and husband Tommy,  Jason Jones and wife Megumi, Laura Stewart and husband Drue McMillan, Candy Crain and husband Troy, Amanda Dillard and husband Patrick, his grandmother, Ann McNaughton, and his aunts, Karen McKeown and husband Andy, Shirley Porter and husband Lon, and Gaynelle Kelley, his in laws, Sandra and Charles Gaines, his sister in law, Deanna Mitchell and husband Shane, and numerous nieces and nephews.
