Rob Dees of San Pedro, Calif., passed away Nov. 3 at his mother’s home in Torrance, Calif., from complications of colon cancer. Rob was born in Greenville, Ala., and moved with his family to the Hollywood Riviera section of Torrance in 1956. He graduated from South High in 1966 and Troy State University in 1974. Rob’s lifelong interest included surf and car culture and music – especially live music. Rob is survived by his mother, Edith, and sister, Edie. He was preceded in death by his father, Lt. Col. (retired) Robert W. Dees.
