Calvin Henry Till

Mr. Calvin Henry Till,  (Dick), 77 died peacefully Friday October 28, 2011 surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. Services will be held Monday, October 31, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Herbert Brown officiating and interment to follow at Sunrise Memorial Park with full military honors. Pallbears will be his sons and grandsons and Allen Cook. Honary pallbears will be his great grandsons,Ben, IV, Lune Wilson, Cade Phillips, Carson “Tucker” Phillips,Brodie Houston,Branson Houston , Brock Tolson, Konner Dolberry and Brady Dolberry.

There will be a visitation on Sunday , October 30, 2011, from 4 PM until 6 PM.

Mr. Till is predeceased by his parents , Naomi and Erbin Edward Till, a grandson, Jakob Allen Wilson and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife , Joyce, a daughter, Glenda Till Easterling and her husband Ben. 3 Sons, Richard Till, Chuck Till his wife Dede , and Dale Till and his wife , Gale. His grandchildren , Ben Easterling, III , and his wife Cathrine, Krista Till Blanton, Erin Till Wilson and her husband Scott, Andi Till Phillips and her husband ,Kyle, Chip Till, Steve Hannabass Till, Alaina Till Houston, Courtney Till Tolson and her husband Ashley, Kimberly Till Sellers and her husband Jonathan,Kris Dolberry and his wife Vanessa.

He is also survived by 14 Great-granchildren, a brother James Till and his wife Carolyn, and a sister, Betty Till Wilson and her husband, Jim.

Mr. Till is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served two tours with distinction and earned several medals, including the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal with Cluster, Viet Nam Service Medal and Viet Nam Gallantry Cross with Palm.

The family request in lieu of flowers. donations may be made to the Montgomery Cancer Center or SBC,or to the charity of your choice.
