JoAnn Newton Harrison, 73, daughter of Arthur and Ethel Newton of Greenville, Alabama went to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven on Thursday, October 13, 2011.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ethel Newton, her brother, James Newton, her sister, Mildred Mixon and her son, Kenneth Michael Harrison.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond F. Harrison, her sons, Gary Harrison and Jeff Harrison of Montgomery, AL, her sister, Maude Newton Sims, her brother , T.A. Newton, her grandchildren, Joshua M. Harrison, Kenslee M. Harrison, Lauren B. Harrison and Lukas P. Harrison.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from the Chapel of Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Paul McLendon officiating.  Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to service.  Graveside to follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
