The Second Judicial Task Force arrested a 31-year-old Greenville woman for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Task Force, with assistance from the Greenville Police Department SWAT team, arrested Shakeika Shawnee McWilliams at her Wimberly Street residence Wednesday at approximately 7 p.m.
“We had the SWAT team come along in case there were a lot of people in the house, but there weren’t as may people there as we thought there would be. Everything went smooth,” Lt. Byron Russell, commander of the Second Judicial Task Force, said. “No one ran or anything.”
According to Russell, there five adults in the residence along with several children. McWilliams was the only one arrested.
Authorities confiscated four grams of crack cocaine, along with marijuana and digital scales from the residence.
The Task Force has raided McWilliams’ house on three separate occasions.
“The two previous times we arrested her boyfriends and they are both in prison serving time for distribution,” Russell said. “The second time we would have picked her up too, but she was at work. This time around we had received complaints from the neighbors, and we got information from others in the area and our informants that gave us a pretty good idea of what was going on the house and we made sure she was going to be at home and went in and got her.”
