Funeral services for Shadrick Brooks were held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 1 p.m. from Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Coy with Rev. Matthew Hattaway officiating. Burial in the churchyard cemetery followed with Hudson Funeral Services of Camden directing. Mr. Brooks was born on Nov. 11, 1976 to the late Cleo A. Brooks Sr. and Authurine Brooks, he lives to cherish his memories: a loving mother; a grandmother, Martha Matthews; brother, Cleo Jr.; two sisters, Martha and Angela Brooks; seven nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles: Carrie Abernathy, Sara Kelsaw, Annie (John) Matthews, John (Tea Ester) Kelsaw, Vivian Brooks, Jacqueline Tate, Fannie Singleton and Reginald Brooks. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Brooks, uncle, Albert Kelsaw, and his nephew, Ja’Von Alister Watson.
