The Butler County School System’s Early Child Development Center celebrated its fifth anniversary June 3. The event featured performances from the children from four different age groups. The oldest group, The Leap Frogs (3-4 years old), led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance, My County ‘Tis of Thee, musical instrumentals and a play entitled “Leo the Late Bloomer’.
The children have achieved many milestones while attending The First Steps Program. To celebrate their achievements, a graduation ceremony was conducted for the children completing the program.
The children graduating are now promoted to the Butler County School’s Bright Beginnings K-4 program, which is one of the best K-4 programs in the nation.
First Steps enrolls children 6 weeks to 4 years old. “With a large class completing the program and graduating, we will have openings primarily for 3 year olds,” states Program Director, Lisa Nimmer. For more information call First Steps at 334-371-2273 or 334-371-2104.
