Edward N. “Pawpaw” Davis, 83, a resident of Highland Home, Ala., died Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Funeral services were held Friday, June 3, 2011, at the Chapel of Harrison Funeral Home with Minister Branson Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Mount Cemetery in Highland Home with Harrison Funeral Home directing. A visitation was held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Funeral Home. Mr. Davis served as Postmaster at Highland Home Post Office, retiring in 1983. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Mary P. ( Tini ) Davis. Survivors include:

daughters, Brenda (Elton) Brown and Bette (Albert) Schild; sons, Michael “Dooshan” (Holly) Davis and Glen (Ruby) Davis; foster son Kenneth Fowler; grandchildren, Jeremy (Lindsey) Brown, Jessica (Ty) Jones, Joshua (Candi) Davis, Pamela and Lea Davis, Lori Davis, Ashley (Wesley) Burkett, Teri (Nyr) Charles, Heather (Daniel) Grier, Steven (Andrea) Banks and Lanie Schild; great-grandchilden, Mary Katherine Jones, Ansley Brown, Mason Davis, Madeline Boyt, J.D. Thompson, Mary Grace, Bethany and Jacob Burkett, and Hannah, Adam, Ava, and Brody Grier; sister, Lila Rue Langley; brothers, Rafton Davis and Curtis Davis. Pallbearers were Jeremy Brown, Steven Banks, Joshua Davis, Ty Jones, Wesley Burkett, Nyr Charles, Daniel Grier and Joe Davis.
