James D. Horn, 95, of Vicksburg, Miss., formerly of McKenzie, Ala., passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. He attended McKenzie High School and was active in sports throughout high school. He served in WWII in the Aruba Island and the European Theater and also served in the Battle of the Bulge. He is preceded in death by his wife, Inez Wilkens Horn; his parents, John B. and Laura Parker Horn; six brothers, Clarence, Hubert, Joe, Elmer, Thomas, and Kendrick. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Horn Gilmore of Vicksburg, Miss., several grandchildren and great-grand children and a sister, Maude Horn Vance of Memphis, Tenn. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette with burial in Bay Minette Cemetery.  A visitation for Mr. Horn will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011, from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
