Shirley Elmira Marti (nee: Springmeier), of St. Peters, Mo., died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at the age of 83. Dearest wife of the late Virgil Melvin Marti, Sr.; dea daughter of the late Edward and Elmira Springmeier (nee: Fricke); cherished mother of Virgil Marti, Jr. Shirley was also a loving aunt to many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Edward, Roland and Robert Springmeier and sister, Jane Saliares.

Shirley worked as a Technical Illustrator with McDonnell Douglas prior to becoming a homemaker.

Services: The family is being served by the Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay St., St. Charles, Mo., where visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011, with a funeral service following at 2 p.m. Interment will be in St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
