COLUMBIA, S.C. – Funeral service for Raymond Albert Harrison, 80, will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will precede the service from 2 to 3 p.m.

Mr. Harrison died May 12, 2011. Born February 16, 1931, in Greenville, Ala., he was a son of the late Irby Roy and Martha Mosley Harrison. During the Korean Conflict he served in the Army as a sergeant at Fort Jackson in Columbia. He was a member of North Trenholm Baptist Church and had retired from N.C.R. after 37 years.

Surviving are his son, David Harrison (Judy) of Lexington, S.C.; daughters, Diane Dukes (Keith) of Atlanta, Linda H. Daniel (Mark) of Columbia; stepdaughter, Debbie Johnson (Ward) of Columbia; brother, Harold Harrison (Sandra) of Atlanta; sisters, Louise Byrd and Mary Emma Cooper (Golson), all of Greenville, Ala.; grandchildren, Ashley, Elizabeth, Kaitlyn, Haley, Taylor, Daniel, David, Ray, Missy and Matthew; five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Harriett “Happy” Harrison; second wife, Dorothy Dimmery Harrison; daughter, Marie Butler.
