Southside Baptist Church and W.O. Parmer Elementary School are collecting items to be donated to the victims of the deadly tornado outbreak in northern and central Alabama.
Southside is asking that donations of non-perishable food items, bottled water, toiletries, batteries, flashlights and coolers be dropped off at the Kings Building on College Street.
The church will not be collecting clothes.
Monetary donations can also be made at the church office and will be passed along to the State Baptist Association. One hundred percent of the donations will go toward relief efforts.
The deadline to give is 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
W.O. Parmer is collecting school supplies to donate to the relief effort. Items can be dropped off at BB&T on the bypass or at the Chamber of Commerce. The deadline to give is Friday.
