Summer readers can find great bargains on books by their favorite authors at the Greenville-Butler County Public Library’s annual Book Sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Readers will be able to pick up books by many notable authors.

“The usual suspects,” said Kevin Pearcey, Library Director. “James Patterson, Nora Roberts, Mary Higgins Clark, David Baldacci … lots of popular fiction, in both paperback and hardback. We’ve received a tremendous amount of book donations from our patrons and supporters and we want everyone to come out and take advantage of the sale.”’

Hardbacks will cost $1. Paperbacks will go for 50 cents apiece.

If book bargain hunters can’t wait until Saturday, the library is offering a special preview sale Friday starting at 5 p.m. Admission to the preview sale is $5 per person.

All proceeds from the sale will go to benefit the Greenville-Butler County Public Library.

“Not only can you collect some great reading material, but you will also be helping your public library,” said Pearcey. “Thanks to everyone who donated books this year. We’re looking forward to a great sale.”
