DHR to host Q&A for potential foster, adoptive parents
Published 7:22 pm Tuesday, April 5, 2011
Would you like to know how you can help a child in foster care in Butler County? Then plan to join the staff members of the Butler County Department of Human Resources at their offices on Thursday, April 21 to learn more about the opportunities to do just that.
The staff wants to talk with interested people about whether or not foster care or adoption is right for their families.
They can also provide other ways local citizens can be involved in making a difference in the lives of these youth. Current foster parents and social workers will be on hand to talk about the program and their own experiences.
There are no strings attached to attendance at this meeting. The idea is to give interested parties as much information as they may need to make informed decisions and to answer questions.
The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at the DHR office located at 109 Caldwell St. in Greenville.
