The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a wind advisory, which is in effect from 11 a.m. this morning to 10 p.m. this evening.

Strong southerly winds of 20 to 25 miles per hour, with frequent gusts as high as 35 miles per hour, will occur over the region in advance of an approaching cold front.

These strong gusty winds will pose a hazard to motorists driving high-profile vehicles as well as to others in outdoor wind-sensitive activities.
