There’s a new collection of tried-and-true recipes out there and they can be yours to enjoy via the Three Arts Club of Georgiana and Chapman.

Members past and present, scholarship recipients and others have come together to create a brand-new cookbook with more than 180 pages of recipes-everything from that classic southern staple, Cheese Straws, to Green Tomato Casserole, Sinful Potatoes and Strawberry Bottom Cheesecake.

“We also have beautiful illustrations throughout the cookbook courtesy of the very talented Wilodean Brown, who shared her beautiful pen-and-ink drawings with us. Wilodean was a long-time member and past president of our club, and is now an honorary member,” said Three Arts member Brenda Gruenewald.

The cookbook is $15, and Gruenewald says it is sure to make a great Mother’s Day, birthday, graduation, anniversary and yes, even Father’s Day gift for the man who knows his way around a kitchen.

“This is a wonderful collection of recipes and the monies we raise will go to a number of worthy community projects,” said Gruenewald.

Regular club projects include: Rose Memorial Library, Alabama Girls State, Student Art Contest, Scholarship Awards to Georgiana-area graduates, Butler County Jr. Miss Award sponsor, student tickets for Greenville Area Arts Council productions, books for children, “Safe Harbor,” Butler County Children’s Advocacy Center, Butler County Humane Society, the Hank Williams Boyhood Home and Museum, Georgiana’s Annual Salute to Hank Williams, Relay For Life, and a host of other charitable contributions to those in need in the community.
