Ettie Fails

Funeral services for the late Ms. Ettie Franklin Fails,  a resident of Pine Apple, Ala. who passed on Jan. 18, 2011, were held on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. from Deliverance Temple. Bishop James Holmes, minister. Rev. Jacoby Thagard, officiated. Burial followed in Zion Rest cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services, Greenville and Camden, Ala., directed. Ms. Ettie Franklin Fails was born on March 3, 1943, along with her twin brother (the late Tommie Franklin Fails) to the late Addie B. Smith Fails and Ester Lee Fails in Long Creek, Ala. (Butler County).

She was raised and attended school in Pine Apple, Ala.; (Wilcox County) along with her siblings, at a young age she joined Macedonia Baptist Church, she later joined the Wings of Faith Ministry and also attended Deliverance Temple.

She was preceded in death by a devoted companion Mr. Willie Charles Brown, parents, siblings Mr. H.W. Fails Sr., Mr. Robert Fails and Ms. Lillian Fails.

Ettie was loved by many and leaves to cherish her memories a son, Mr. Jessie L. Fails, Dallas, Texas; special and devoted nephew & niece, Calvin (Serena) Fails, McKenzie, Ala; and their children, Janea and ZyKeria, brother, James L. (Lena) Fails Sr., Pine Apple, Ala.; four sisters, Ilean Hatten, Akron, Ohio; Mary Wilson, Brooklyn, NY; Mary Lean Fails, Brooklyn, NY; and Tammie Jones, Camden, Ala.; sister-in-law, Virginia Fails, Greenville, Ala.; a loving niece Laquilla Robinson, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives including her step children, Daryl D. Bonner, Greenville, Ala.; and Sonya Carter, Troy, Ala.
