Funeral services for the late Mr. Ralph W. Payne, age 98, who passed on Dec. 23, 2010 were held on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 at noon from Pine Top Baptist Church. Rev. Willie J. Nicholson was the officiating minister. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services, Greenville, Ala. directed. Mr. Ralph W. Payne was born May 10, 1912 to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Walker and Katie Payne in Greenville, Ala. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Pine Top Baptist Church where he served on the deacon board for many years. He leaves to cherish his memories three children, Ms. Katie Bell of Montgomery, Ala., Mr. Ruben (Shirley) Payne of Detroit, Mo., Mr. Otis (Lorene) Payne of Greenville, Ala. Four children preceded him in death, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, niece, nephews many relatives and friends.
