Obituary: Billy Franklin Stephenson

Billy Franklin Stephenson, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2010.
Funeral services for Mr. Stephenson were Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Brother Rick Hayes and Brother Tim Bass officiating.
Burial followed at Faith Hill Cemetery on Hwy 10 near Rutledge. Visitation was held Saturday, November 27, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home in Troy.
Billy was born on June 20, 1937 in Crenshaw County. Billy was a retired Southern Baptist minister, who served churches in Crenshaw, Houston and Pike Counties for 32 years.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sarah Owens Stephenson, his two daughters, Sheila Drew (Randy); Tina Whitaker (Andy); one grandson, Trey Whitaker (US Navy); one brother, Sam Stephenson, Jr. (Jeanette) two; sisters, Betty McMullin (Bob); Sue Wallace (Billy); and one sister-in-law Shirley Green (Jimmy).
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Tammy and his mother and father, Sam and Cordie Stephenson.
