Funds for VFD: Searcy

Pictured above is Fire Chief Gene Gibson receiving a check for $3,045 from Daria Scott, Mid-South RC&D Council member and DAC for Butler County Soil & Water Conservation District. Also on hand was Representative Charles Newton, Jessie McWilliams, Chairman of the County Commission and members of the Searcy Volunteer Fire Department.
Searcy Volunteer Fire Department received a $3,045 grant from Mid-South Resource, Conservation and Development (RC&D) Council. Working through the Natural Resources Conservation Service(NRCS) and Butler County Soil & Water Conservation District, Searcy Volunteer Fire Department was able to receive an RC&D grant for mobile radios and portable radios.
