Funeral services for the late Willie Hawkins Sr. who passed on Sunday, October 31, 2010, were held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 1 p.m. from Deliverance Temple # 4, Bishop James Hawkins officiating.

Burial followed in the churchyard cemetery with Hudson Funeral Services of Greenville directing. Mr. Hawkins leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife of 57 years, Edna Hawkins, daughter, Daisy (Tim) Craig, Camphill; four sons, Johnny Joe Hawkins, Willie (Blondean) Hawkins, Sammy (Bertha) Hawkins, all of Greenville; Dexter (Sonya) Hawkins, Daleville; a spiritual son and daughter, Bishop James (Patricia) Holmes, Enterprise; 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert L. Hawkins Jr. and JC Hawkins, Greenville; six sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law; two devoted nephews,  Willie James Hawkins of Birmingham and JC Hawkins Jr. of Greenville; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and the Deliverance Temple Church family.
