Jennifer Jernigan was one of the vendors with painting and handicrafts at last year's Fine Arts League Christmas Show. More than a dozen artists and artisans will be returning this Saturday, November 13 to the Whitney Bank's downtown location.

A feast of artwork and crafts by local and regional artists and artisans, festive refreshments and classic Christmas tunes will welcome visitors to the Greenville Area Fine Arts League’s Christmas Arts and Crafts Show this weekend in the downtown Whitney Bank location on Commerce St.

Kicking off at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, the event will run until 4 p.m. and feature everything from original oil paintings to handmade purses, says member and artist Mary Croley.

“We have a nice mix of artwork and crafts, with some familiar faces and some new ones this year,” said Croley.

Along with oils, acrylics and watercolor paintings and nature and landscape photography, expect to browse among hand-carved Santas and hand-painted Santa gourds, baskets, handmade jewelry and soaps, along with note cards and bookmarks featuring prints of local works of art. Approximately one dozen talents will have their art and crafts on display during the show.

“We will have things that make beautiful Christmas decorations and perfect Christmas gifts, too. Our group is growing and we hope folks will come down and see the wonderful work they are doing and help support shopping in downtown Greenville,” Croley said.
