9:45 p.m. And then there was one…
9:33 p.m. Three boxes still have to be counted.
9:05 p.m. 13 percent in across state and so far the “no’s” have it on Amendment 3, which would release money from the trust fund to help repair roads.
8:55 p.m. Reporting Mitchell leading 55 percent to 45 percent over Bryan Taylor with 25 percent in for the District 30. Autauga, Elmore, (Taylor’s base) is still out there.
8:54 p.m. Bobby Bright and Wendell Mitchell looks like they’ll take Butler County. Statewide, that’s still another story.
8:48 p.m. 24 of 28 boxes in. Funny thing just happened: DA John Andrews was reading the results on the microphone, his phone rang, “my wife,” he said, kept reading.
8:43 p.m. Q-94’s Kyle Haynes on Sheriff Kenny Harden’s lead: “It’s massive.”
8:42 p.m. Wendell Mitchell has about a 200 vote lead in Butler County over challenger Bryan Taylor.
8:39 p.m. Associated Press is calling the Governor’s race in favor of Dr. Robert Bentley, Republican.
8:37 p.m. Sheriff Kenny Harden will win a second term. He’s up by over 1,000 votes over challenger and independent Phillip Hartley.
7: 48 p.m. Probate Judge Steve Norman predicts a 35 percent turnout for the registered voters in Butler County. Statewide, Secretary of State Beth Chapman is predicting a 55 percent turnout. Butler County has 14,000 registered voters.
