While Georgiana has its October Fest celebration this weekend, McKenzie celebrates October Fest next Saturday, October 23 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Take a trip down to Jerry’s Place, Main St., just one-half mile south of downtown McKenzie on Armstrong Road to enjoy vendors such as Nana’s Attic, Baskets by Buster, RADA Cutlery, Swings and Chairs by Byron Stinson, Avon and more.

Come enjoy “good eats” courtesy of the McKenzie VFD along with the dunking booth, face painting for the kiddies and lots of great live music, says Betty Henry, one of the event organizers.

“We are looking forward to really fun day for the community of McKenzie and our neighbors, so come on out and join us,” Henry said.
