Georgiana isn’t the only south Butler community holding an October Fest this autumn.
Neighboring McKenzie is also “fallin'” into the spirit with its own harvest time celebration.
Set for Saturday, October 23 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., McKenzie October Fest promises to bring attendees plenty of good festival food, courtesy of the McKenzie Volunteer Fire Department, says Betty Henry, one of the event organizers.
Among the vendors already signed up for the event are Nana’s Attic, Baskets by Buster, RADA Cutlery, Swings and Chairs by Byron Stinson, Avon Products and more.
“We will also have a dunking booth, face painting and lots of great live music throughout the day,” said Henry.
The event will take place in front of Jerry’s Place, Main Street, one-half mile south of downtown McKenzie on Armstrong Road.
“We still have booth space available; just give me a call to get signed up,” said Henry.
