Funeral services for Jim Heard Jr. were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 5 from New Beginning Ministries with Rev. Harold Daniels officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Service of Greenville directing.
Mr. Heard leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mildred Heard; Yolanda (Wiley) Thornton, Tina (Wilbur) Jones, Rondell Heard, Jim D. (Shanita) Heard, all of Montgomery; Ezekiel Powell, Gary (Demia) Powell, Shawn Coleman, Deunta Warrren, Devarris Warren, all of Greenville ; Fernandez (Angela) Warren, Anita (James) Blackman, both of Montgomery; Kyisha Gandy, Alex Paige, both of Akron, S.C.; three sisters, Mae Rogers, Greenville, Dorothy Heard, Mary Lou Edwards, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a host of nieces, two special, Edna H. Williams, Milton, Fla., and Carmel Brown; one special nephew, Jimmy Heard, Greenville; grandhilcren, very close friend, Oscar Hicks, Cleveland, Ohio, devoted friends, Tracy Steele, Tom Simmons, Arthur (Blue Boy) Rudolph, Dan Longmire, Bay Hamp, Inez Flowers, all of Greenville.
