Reading to dive into reading fun for the summer? Then mark your calendars for the Greenville-Butler County Public Library’s Annual Summer Reading Program and “Make a Splash.”
The sessions begin Wednesday, June 16 and run through Thursday, July 22 for K-5 through 4th graders.
“We’re inviting local students to come and ride the reading wave with us,” says “Miss” Jean Bauer, children’s librarian.
“As always, we will offer reading time, games, music, crafts and refreshments that tie into our splashy theme,” Bauer said.
“We’ll have take-home activity sheets, reading logs, and a chance for the children to win prizes for keeping up with their reading this summer.”
The free weekly one-hour sessions are scheduled as follows: three, four and five-year-olds, Wednesdays at 3 p.m.; K5-1st grades, Thursdays at 11 a.m. and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders on Thursdays at 3 p.m.
