Does Fido need a good shampoo and do? Come Saturday, local canines can get the salon treatment and you can help homeless animals at the Butler County Humane Society’s 2nd Annual Wag n’ Wash.
The event is set for 7 a.m. until noon June 5 at the Pet Laundry at 810 N. Conecuh St.
The cost is a $20 donation per dog wash and all sizes and shapes are welcome.
Not a dog owner? Then come and browse the selection of items at the Garage and Closet Clean-Out also set for that day.
“Come early if you want a chance to get other folks’ good stuff. And your donations are still welcome, too,” says Annie Crenshaw of the BCHS. “Just donate by Friday, June 4. And if the items are too big or plentiful for you to transport, call and we’ll come and pick it up.”
Donations such as any type of pet supplies, including treats, carriers, leashes and collars for both dogs and cars are also much appreciated, Crenshaw said.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Butler County Humane Society.
