L.P. Palmer

The Rev. L.P. Palmer, 66, departed this life on Thursday, May 13, 2010. His funeral services were Saturday, May 22, 2010.
He was born on December 29, 1943, to the late Tafe and Rosie Palmer in Luverne. He retired from Hollandale Water Works in Hollondale, Fla. Thereafter, he moved to Greenville where he joined House of Prayer and served faithfully until he was called to the ministry.
He was the pastor of Free Will Baptist Church in Greenville. Rev. Palmer was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa and a son, Daral; two sisters, Eunie Palmer and Edna Oliver, and four brothers, Celma, Walter, Jeremiah and Ray Charles Palmer.
He leaves to cherish his memory wife Yvonne Palmer and children Ashena, Diana, Ciara, Nikia, Annie, Latrina, Leron, Jeremiah, Jonathan and Phillip, all of Greenville; Shenitha, Lashonda, Catrina, Detrice, Shantell, Verneka and Berneka, all of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Sharon, Benjamin, Anesia and Patrick, all of Gainesville, Fla., L.P. Jr. and Sherry, both of Detroit, Michigan; four brothers, Elijah (Daisy) Palmer of Greenville, Charles Palmer of Ft. Lauderville, Tommy (Loretta) Palmer of Brantley, and Eddie Palmer of Luverne, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
