Robert Franklin Martin, Sr. of Fort Deposit, AL. passed away on Sunday,
April 11 at a local hospital. He was born April 13, 1928 in Birmingham, AL.
He graduated from Auburn Univ. in 1953 with a degree in Applied Arts. He
served two years in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He is
survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Cobb Martin of Fort Deposit; three
daughters, Karen (Danny) Wynn, Patricia Martin, of Birmingham, Leigh (David)
Carmichael, Millbrook, Al., two sons, Dr. .Robert (Jodie) F. Martin, Jr.
Fort Deposit, and Daniel (Jessica) R. Martin, Madison, AL. He is survived by
two grandsons, Kevin Robert Wynn, Robert F. Martin, III, and 1
step-grandson, Hunter Paul. Also, six granddaughters, Laurie Allen, Jill Salinas,
Kerrie Wynn, Kellie Wynn, Cile Martin, and Abbey Martin, and step granddaughter,
Natasha Henson. and one great grandson, Brodie Allen.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 14, at 10:00 AM at Bethel
Baptist Church , Fort Deposit, AL. with Rev. Eric Jackson officiating. Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home on Tuesday Evening from 6:00
until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the
The National Cancer Society, Relay for Life Fund.
