McKenzie School’s Paula Till has another choral medal to add to her collection. Till participated in the Alabama State Vocal Association Competition in Mobile this month and came away with high honors, said her teacher, Susan Andrews.

“Paula received a 94 out of 100 and was given a ‘1’ rating. That’s the top score you can get,” Andrews said proudly.

“Paula is so excited about this and so proud she is now representing McKenzie School.”

Till also participated in the recent Carnegie Hall performance in New York City and is a member of Southeastern United States Honor Choir. She is a member of the All-State Choir and is an All-State winner in Choral.

She and a number of other students from across the county received special recognition at the Butler County BOE’s March 18 meeting.

Till and Andrews will be traveling to Birmingham in mid-April to perform in the All-State Choir.

“Paula is a very talented and very sweet young lady. I am delighted to see her doing so well,” said her former choral teacher at Greenville High School, Millie McDonald.
