Mary Nell Griffin, age 90, a resident of Tyler, AL, died on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at Vaughn Regional Medical Center in Selma, AL. Funeral services were held on Friday, December 11, 2009, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services in the Chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home in Greenville, AL, with Rev. Bill Garner officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in Awin Community Cemetery in Awin, AL.
Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband, Blanchard W. Griffin and son, Gary Boyd Griffin. She is survived by her children, Shirley M. (Billy) Dewrell of Florala, AL, Blanchard W. “Buddy” (Mary) Griffin, Jr., of Gaskin, FL, Phyllis M. Elmore of Selma, AL, Connie D. (Terrell) Lovelady of Selma, AL, grandchildren, Raylaine (Tim) Henderson, Darleen (Tommy) Dupuis, Lorie Amerson, Blanchard W. Griffin, III, Terri Griffin, Thomas Pouncey, Justin Pouncey, Josh (Rene) Pouncey, Jonathon (Blaire) Pouncey, Meagan Foster, Haley Foster, thirteen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and brother, Jack (Marjorie) Shires.
